Environmental Policy

The highest value of the company is the long-term service to the customer, customer satisfaction combined with considerate approach to the environment and its protection. Environmental policy is a whitepaper documenting the attitude of the entire company’s management and employees in provision of services that speaks of respect for and protection of the environment. Chropynska Slovakia a. s. is aware of its responsibility to meet customer requirements, as well as the importance of minimizing the impact of its activities on the environment and, therefore, accepts its duty of environmental care as an integral part of its daily activities.

Chropynska Slovakia a. s. is aware of its responsibility to meet customer requirements, as well as the importance of minimizing the impact of its activities on the environment and, therefore, accepts its duty of environmental care as an integral part of its daily activities.

In accordance with the principles of sustainable development, the company has decided to create, document, implement, maintain and constantly improve the system of environmental management according to the international ISO 14001:2015 standard.

Chropynska Slovakia a. s. management undertakes to comply with the following principles:

1. Comply with obligations arising from applicable legislation.

2. Prevent the occurrence of potential causes of environmental damage and create opportunities to contribute to sustainable development through environmental protection by:

– avoiding or mitigating adverse environmental impacts,

– mitigating potential adverse effect of environmental situations on the organisation.

3. Create conditions and plan resources for replacement and/or upgrade of material and technical equipment of the company that is less burdensome for the environment.

4. Create conditions for the application of processes, techniques, materials, products, services, and energy sources that eliminate, reduce or control the generation, release, and discharge of any pollutant or waste in order to reduce adverse environmental impacts.

5. Prioritise waste management practices leading to waste recovery rather than waste disposal.

6. Actively contribute to protecting the environment through efficient use of resources, reduction of emissions to air, water and soil, reduction of waste generation, proper waste management, avoiding ecosystems degradation and preserving biodiversity.

7. Build on the established network of suppliers and through the company’s good position in the supply chain, request they apply more environmentally friendly processes.

8. Regularly monitor and analyze hazards, identify and evaluate risks, analyze their sources and causes of origin, and take effective measures to prevent risks in order to minimize or eliminate the same.

9. Create conditions for proper functioning of the environmental management system and regularly assess its effectiveness and continuously improve environmental performance through monitoring processes and taking appropriate measures.

10. By allocating necessary resources to relevant training and education programs, we continuously increase environmental awareness of the company’s employees and their proactive approach to environmental protection, because the region we work and produce in is also the place where we relax and live.
